“They come from the bowels of hell. A transformed race of walking dead zombies…” Plan 9 from Outer Space

Abilities & Limitations

  • Darksight – as the spell.
  • Immunity: Poison, disease, charm, sleep, and mind-affecting abilities.
  • Slow: Zombies always act last in the round, regardless of initiative.
  • Automaton: Zombies cannot speak or think. They obey only the last command given.

Description: Zombies are the reanimated corpses of humanoids. With lumbering, lurching gaits, deadpan stares and strips of flesh sloughing off their decomposing frames they make for horrific, unsettling opponents. Like skeletons, they are entirely mindless and without volition and only following the last set of rudimentary commands issued by their master. Though strong and durable they are comically slow and always strike last in combat. Zombies never tire and are immune to pain, fear, or any mind-affecting abilities.

Lore

  • Some zombies can be shocked into recalling their past lives and acting on those memories.
  • The wretch-inducing stink of a zombie is noticeable at a great distance
  • The bite of a zombie can make one deathly ill and even transform one into a zombie
